Status quo
In France, people without migration ancestry fall below 50% of the population around 2050. This figure comes from the high scenario published by the French Observatoire de l’immigration et de la démographie (OID). It was not calculated using the IFR model and is not directly comparable with the tipping points for the other countries.
Remigration
The OID study does not include a remigration scenario. As the IFR does not publish its own France projection in Version 1, no reverse tipping point is shown for France.
