The Institute welcomes professional contributions, practical assistance, corrections, source suggestions and other feedback that can improve the Demography Dashboard.
This dashboard was built by a small group of volunteers: developers, designers, statisticians and translators who gave their evenings to it. Everything on it - the projection, the maps, the fifteen country pages - came out of that.
The work ahead is larger than the work behind. If you have professional experience in one of the fields below, or something we have not thought of, write to us here. If you have spotted an error, know a better source or think something should be improved, tell us that too. Every message is read by a person.

IT & software
Front end, data pipelines, infrastructure
React and TypeScript on the dashboard itself, Python behind the projection, and the deployment that carries it. Open-source experience counts for more here than a job title.
Design
Interface, typography, data graphics
Turning numbers into something a reader understands in seconds - on a phone as much as on a desk. Share graphics, printed material and the interface itself.
Data & statistics
Demography, modelling, sources
Cohort-component models, national statistical offices, Eurostat. Reviewing the assumptions behind the scenarios matters as much as extending them.
Journalism & communications
Writing, translation, press
The country pages, the methodology and the briefings exist in five languages and should exist in more. Editors and translators are as welcome as reporters.
